31 Weeks and 2 Days and Cloth Diapering

Today marks 31 weeks and 2 days into my pregnancy. I pray every day for the baby. After having so many miscarriages it is hard to just be happy and not to worry. 8 weeks to go. The C-Section is scheduled for September 6th.

I have decided to cloth diaper with this little one. I am making my own cloth diaper stash. I will post pictures of the stash once I find my darn camera. I really like the RRP (Rita Rump Pocket) pattern. I have made about 15 of them so far and working on more. The pattern is easy to follow and sew. Great one size fits most cloth diaper pattern. It is all in the way you fold the diaper for sizing. The more you fold the smaller the diaper and you can choose how much and what to stuff the diaper with. You can find the RRP pattern HERE. If you choose as I did to use a snappi instead of pins you will need to use a fabric that the snappi teeth can attach to.

These are some pictures from the RRP website showing the diaper on little ones. They are so cute. For my diapers I modified the pattern slightly. First I added elastic to the back of the diaper and made the pocket opening in the front. This is better for me when it comes to sizing and I am going to be breast feeding my little one. The elastic in the back will prevent those breast feed baby blow outs. LOL

Sorry it has been so long since I posted. I will try to make sure to post more often.

Big Update... Boy or a Girl??

OK This is another big update. On the 22nd I went in for my 20 week sono scan. This scan was a BIG one. During this visit we got to look at everything. First we looked at the baby's head and brain. Everything looked great. Then we moved on to the spine and spinal cord. Everything looked great. Next we looked at the baby's abdomen and organs. Everything was the correct size, shape and location. Then we got to look at the baby's bones and everything looked great there as well. We got to look at the baby's hands and feet. We even got to see the baby's little toes and fingers. Next we looked at the baby's heart and umbilical cord. Everything was perfect. AMAZING!! After checking everything else the tech asked me if we wanted to know if the baby is a boy or a girl. I was SOOOOO excited to see that I told her "PLEASE I want to know". She smiled and we began searching for the gender............

We are SOOO happy that the scan went so well. As soon as I find my darn camera I will post the sono pictures for everyone to see.

Surprise Update and Big Wonders

Well I have a BIG secrete I want to share with everyone. I am pregnant!! Today I am 16 weeks and 5 days. This is a major thing for me. I have had 5 miscarriages in the last 5 years. Each one I have not gotten past 8 weeks and 3 days. On the 14th we are going to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl. We are super excited. I did not want to revile our big secrete until we were past the point of were we had gotten to in the past. In 2 weeks I have an appointment with the high risk doctors for more Sono scans.

I have a fetal doppler that I use at home between appointments and let me tell you it really helps to put the mind at ease. Any time I am feeling nurvious about the baby I check the heart beat. Being able to hear the little one is a wonderful thing. It really puts the mind at ease. Up until now I have had weekly appointments with my OB and now I am seeing the Doc every 3 weeks. So that is my big surprise and update.
